Tender Loins

The landlady’s lips engulfed her husband’s cockroach
And she never heard his approach
Until his breath swept up her bloody-booger nostrils
Her lacquered fingernails raked his forearms, sending chills
Up his spine straight to his groin.
“Honey, I’ve cooked that tenderloin.” she whispered seductively.

Just A Dream

Your Lips are a lake of despair and dismay
as I see the emotions play
upon your face.
I wish I could leave you here
without another fear
in this dreamlike place.

You bow before my trembling body,
feeling your way through the wasteland
I always seem to create.

I listen for your heart’s rhythm,
My soul knows it so well.
We float upon the sunlight’s disguise.

It’s a shifting world we make tonight,
where bodies heave and breath is fleeting,
As two forms mate.

Falling Inside the crack in the concrete.
Broken bottles and sore feet.
Empty mind, repeat rewind.
Swilling down Captain Morgan.
Never will you donate an organ.
Empty mind, repeat rewind.

Born into this world with a strong will.
She took to you like no other.
And then one day she went for a walk
Off the side of the road
And never looked back.

She’s nestled in your thoughts still.
You were never a real mother.
Never one to want to talk.
Kissing one too many toads,
And never looked back.

Chicken Coop Soup

A thought is stuck.
What the fuck.
Dead bugs in my soup.
Is this a chicken coop?
Or am I still dreaming?

I suck at poetry.

No mountains quake when lovers cry
No rivers cease to flow
for love isĀ  a human thing
No6 heaven’s last escrow

The love you share will neer be lost
and tears should not be shed
for love will triumph o’er the cost
of all the miles you’ve tread

So look at life with eyes anew
and stoke your inner flame
for though he’s not in front of you
your heart still beats the same.
